IoT Developer Base Kit

  • The IoT developer base kit is optimised for indoor and outdoor sensing.
  • All sensor options listed in the ‘available sensors‘ page require the IoT developer base kit.
  • Examples of sensing packages containing the IoT Developer Base Kit can be found on the ‘available sensors‘ web page.

IoT Wearable

  • The IoT Wearable enables the user to gather sensor data across multiple locations, whilst maintaining connection to the IoT@School system. 
  • Uses an arm strap to hold the device to the body.
  • 4 on board sensors. Sensor specifications are below.
  • Compatible with the IoT@School data visualisation platform. View system specifications below.
  • LoRa / LoRaWAN base station required.
IoT Wearable Specifications 
  • Data sample rate: Minimum 3 seconds
  • Data Upload Rate: Typically 1 or 5 minutes.
  • Connection Type: LoRa / LoRaWAN
  • Power Requirements: 48hr battery life as standard. For higher capacity requirements please contact us.

* The IoT Wearable contains a selection of sensors compatible with lower power LoRa / LoRaWAN. Other sensing options can be considered for development upon request.

  • 1 base station is required per set radius for multiple compatible devices.
Base Station Specifications 
  • Connection Type: LoRa / LoRaWAN
  • Supports: WiFi and Ethernet Connectivity
  • Power Requirements: Mains external power
  • Signal Range: Up to 10 miles
