The micro:bit school prototyping kit is everything you need to begin using the micro:bit in a practical and visual way. This comprehensive school prototyping kit has been designed for use with standard 4mm banana cables and crocodile clips to eliminate the need for soldering therefore making prototyping easier and safer for your students. The kit includes the new ScienceScope micro:bit breakout board, a range of micro:bit compatible products as well as a variety of components.
If you want to get the most out of your new micro:bit then look no further than the micro:bit breakout board. It offers up to twelve input/output channels that all use standard 4mm banana plug connections as well as four 3.3 Volt outputs and four GND channels. Both analogue and digital, inputs and outputs are available to give you complete control of your circuits and components.
The micro:bit can be programmed using the ScienceScope sound cable to turn speakers on and off very fast at varied frequencies, which creates specific musical notes. The sound cable enables you to connect the micro:bit to a set of headphones, speakers or any other audio input and use it to play and compose music or investigate sound.
The joystick board has been converted to allow 4mm banana plug connection to the micro:bit. It offers signal in both the x-axis and y-axis as well as a push button.
Included in this school prototyping kit are a number of components that enhance the usability of the micro:bit and breakout board. All components included are compatible with the micro:bit 3.3V power limit so can be used with the standard micro:bit battery pack.
